About me

I grew up wanting to be a Cardiologist in high school, however, when it got time to actually applying for universities, I applied for a Bachelor of International Relations at the Australian National University. After one semester, I had already made the decision I did not want to spend my whole life arguing politics, and instead changed to a Commerce degree, as I had chosen some Commerce courses as electives in the first semester and had loved them.

When it got close to graduation, I had no idea what I wanted to do or where to apply for graduate jobs. Luckily, I was able to get a graduate job at PwC as a consultant. I didn’t really know what consulting was, however, it was the best thing that has happened to me yet. Working as a consultant has allowed me to work across a range of different industries and areas, with a range of different people. I am constantly learning as a “Jack of all trades and master of none”.

About my role

  • Analytical
  • Meticulous
  • Passionate
  • Perfectionist
  • Sociable

I am a business consultant working in the infrastructure sector of Brisbane, specifically for Government organisations. This role is very fluent, meaning that not one project that I work on is ever the same. Usually, I will be invited into an organisation to investigate the current challenges that they are experiencing (whether known or not known) and have to work with stakeholders to develop a way forward that is practical, can be achieved and aligns to desired business outcomes. Although I do not specifically specialise in one area, my role involves working with a range of stakeholders with different skills (e.g. technical, strategic, etc.) and sometimes across multiple organisations, to develop a solution that takes all aspects into consideration and provides benefits in not only the shorter term but also into the future.
